Facebook owns Instagram, and the relationship provides businesses with a slew of options to make their social media activities more efficient. Why? Your business can connect the accounts, which allows you to "cross-post" your content on Instagram to Facebook simultaneously. This is a great solution for businesses that struggle to find time to be present on all social media platforms. How to do it:

Connect

Go to your business's Facebook Page. Click "Settings" and then "Instagram Ads." Choose to "Add an Account," and then enter your Instagram username and password. Now connect Instagram to Facebook by opening the Instagram app on your phone. Within "Settings," select "Linked Accounts" and then "Facebook." It will link to your personal Facebook by default, so next select "Share to" and choose your business page.

Cross-post

Create a new post in Instagram. On the bottom of the caption page, you'll see a list of other social media platforms. Toggle to the Facebook button. Your post will now show up in Facebook as soon as it goes live in Instagram.

Cross-advertise

You can also create an advertisement in Facebook and automatically port it to Instagram. Go to your Facebook Page and click "Advertise your business" located underneath the new post section. Choose either "Promote Your Sign Up Button" or "Get More Website Visitors." There's an option to run the promotion on Instagram, and as long as the box is checked, the advertisement will also post to Instagram. You may want to double your campaign's budget since it will be delivered to both social media platforms.
