For the first time ever in the Wood Floor Business State of the Industry survey, we asked contractors and retailers to tell us which social media they use for their business. 1) Facebook is the most popular. Almost 80 percent of retailers and 54 percent of contractors use Facebook for their business. LinkedIn comes in second place but trails by a huge margin. Seventeen percent of contractors and 40 percent of retailers use it.
2) Contractors aren't using social media as much as retailers. A whopping 40 percent of contractors said they don't use social media for their business at all, while just 15 percent of retailers aren't doing social.
