John Rodriguez of Hurst, Texas-based Jrodz Flooring had one job that was notable for what they forgot to do: "My helper and I were cleaning up after a nail-down floor installation at the end of the day. That subdivision had a dumpster on the way out for contractors to throw away trash, and since the inside of our van was full of tools, supplies, etc., we decided to put all the trash on top of the roof of the van. We figured since the dumpster was literally on the way out, it shouldn't be a big deal. We did one final walk-through, making sure all the windows and doors were locked and everything was left clean. Then we hopped in the van to head out and started talking about what happened on the job and whatnot. As I was driving, we started to notice other drivers staring at us as we passed. After 30 minutes on the road, we pulled over to pump gas and noticed we had been driving with the trash on the roof the whole time! Of course we started blaming each other for forgetting we had trash on top of the van. Luckily it didn't fall on the road and cause any damage!"
