My dad has many notable sayings, but one of my favorites was when I went through a traditional apprenticeship with him. He said, "From 8 a.m.–4 p.m., I'm not your dad. After 4 p.m., we can go back to being father and son." It sounds harsh, but when I look back on it, he was setting the tone for getting into this industry. Lots of hardwork and dedication to the craft is needed.
