Just a good day at the office, so to speak ... We have the second floor ready for hardwood. The carpet is removed, the pressboard is gone and we screwed down the new plywood subfloor. The stand-up screw gun does make it a bit easier and we do not have to worry about it working loose like a nail. The plywood price has gone through the roof-"Why?" is the question, but who knows.
We did pick up a recoat job today and with any luck we can get it done fast and pain-free. I am still on edge about having a good bond, so we are going to try a new waterbase with "nano," whatever that fine words means. The rep is going to come aid with the job so we do not have any trouble.
I am just glad when we can have days like this: simple, fun and productive.
