Helping the Cabinet Guy

Wayne Lee Headshot

We are getting work and that, my friends, is great.

I've been looking at the snow across the map. My word, am I glad it is not here, but it might snow here Friday. So, is everyone ready for spring? I am so ready to get back to a day when we can make cuts outside.

In the summer we always make cuts outside so we have less mess in the house; but right now it is just too cold or it's raining. I had to go back to Mrs. Rhonda's job and cut out the flooring under the dishwasher and trash compacter. The floor falls and the walls are so out of plumb that the cabinets had to be cut to make them right; so the wood had to be removed to allow them to install the units. They think that they will have to put in 1/2 ply to get them right. The good news is we got it done fast; the bad news is that Joey hit the floor with the saw and now we have a board repair.

So off to work I go, sorry for not getting online much, but we are working as fast as we can to keep things going.  Is it me, or does every job bring its own stress… not enough tile, other trades slowing us down and going back to help fix stuff for the cabinet guy.  But I know: Be happy we have work.

I do have my lead class Friday and I will let you know how all that goes... I am just a bit nervous.
