I’m going to have to do a little corporate promotion today and encourage readers to click through to the Metropolitan website and watch our new videos on IAQ (Indoor Air Quality). We’ve prepped two, one for our Kentwood engineered flooring and one on our Evoke laminate. They are largely similar in general content, with variations specific to the construction conditions of each product category.
These videos are designed to explain the basics of CARB and how flooring works within the CARB program (how flooring can only be compliant, not certified; how you can’t have a formaldehyde-free floor; etc.)
If you are someone who really does want to understand this topic, but just can’t handle reading the volume of text I’ve put out on the topic—if you learn better visually and want to have things explained with cute graphics and upbeat music—these are for you.
Seriously though, we believe that the science here is right (we’ve had them checked!) and the info on the regulations are right (we’ve had them checked!) and we hope they will help reduce both confusion and fear within the industry. So grab some popcorn and enjoy!
