3M (Saint Paul, Minn.) has established a Global Relief Fund of $1 million to support communities affected by recent and future natural disasters.
The addition of this fund brings 3M’s total investment in disaster relief to more than $3.5 million in cash and product donations this fall, according to a company statement.
“Our hearts go out to those affected by the recent earthquakes in Mexico and Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico and surrounding areas,” said Kim Price, president of the 3M Foundation, in a statement. “To better help those in need, 3M is pledging an incremental $1 million in cash support as part of a Global Relief Fund with critical NGO partners.”
Earlier in this month, 3M donated cash and matched donations from employees and retirees to help victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.
