AHF Products’ $107 million purchase of Armstrong Flooring assets was approved by a bankruptcy court July 12. The acquisition by AHF and Gordon Brothers of the 150-year-old Armstrong, once a powerhouse in the flooring industry, is expected to be finalized in the third quarter of 2022.
The deal includes the purchase and operation of three U.S. manufacturing facilities located in Lancaster and Beech Creek, Pa., and in Kankakee, Ill.
“Our investments in new brands, products and capabilities, both organically and through acquisitions, has fueled our growth,” AHF CEO Brian Carson said in a statement. “Our ongoing commitment is to create products that bring more value to our customers, across categories.”
AHF Products will operate 11 manufacturing facilities following the Armstrong acquisition—seven wood flooring plants and three vinyl plants in the U.S., and one engineered hardwood plant located in Cambodia.
Armstrong filed for bankruptcy in May. The company’s Chinese and Australian businesses were sold off separately for a total of $80 million, PennLive reported.
