Construction spending grew 0.8 percent to $1.29 trillion in November 2018 compared with October 2018 and was 3.4 percent above November 2017 spending, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
Total residential spending increased 3.4 percent from October as total nonresidential spending dropped 1.0 percent.
Total private construction spending grew 1.3 percent (2.3 percent year-over-year) and total public construction spending fell 0.9 percent, but increased 7.0 percent year-over-year.
