Haines (Glen Burnie, Md.) has announced that it will exit Bravo Services, a consortium of 14 independent North American flooring distributors of which it had been a longtime member.
The company plans to officially end its involvement in the organization April 1, saying it could not justify the costs and time commitment.
"Our decision, while difficult, is simply a matter of return on our investment from the efforts we put in," said Haines President and CEO Michael Barrett in a statement.
Bravo Services LLC describes itself as "a North American consortium of master distributors" on its website, founded in 2000.
Other members of the LLC, according to its website, include The Belknap White Group, Tri-West, LTD, Adleta, Ohio Valley Flooring, Buckworld Western, FlorStar Sales, Shnier, W.C. Tingle Flooring, Cain and Bultman, Inc., Apollo Distributing Company, Reader's Wholesale Distributors, B.R. Funsten and Co. and William M. Bird and Co.
