Lowe’s Reports Uptick in Home Improvement Sales During COVID-19

As people around the country are required to stay home due to the coronavirus, Lowe’s CEO Marvin Ellison told CNBC the home improvement retail chain has seen an increase in sales across all categories at nearly every store.

“As customers are sheltering in place, they’re looking at that deferred list of home projects,” Ellison told CNBC. “As they spend time around the home, they now have more time on their hands to tackle some of those things.”

A small percentage of wood floor pros have also reported an uptick in work during the pandemic, according to a WFB Facebook Poll. A majority of pros reported a slowing or complete stoppage of work and estimates.
