Mohawk Industries (Calhoun, Ga.) announced it will restructure its North America flooring segment into five distinct business units, including Residential Soft Surface, Wood and Laminate, Resilient, Commercial and Mohawk Home.
The company says the new structure will allow it to better focus on the needs of individual customers and drive accountability.
“In this new business model, we are reaching the residential customer through a single sales force that is responsible for residential soft surface, wood and laminate and resilient,” Mohawk President Paul De Cock said in a statement.
The company also announced the new leaders who will take over the new business units in the company.
Tom Lape was appointed president, residential sales; Michel Vermette was appointed president, residential, soft surface; Mike Gallman was named president, commercial and international; and Roger Farabee has taken over as president, wood and laminate.
