The International Wood Flooring Association (IWFA) will host its second Extreme Wood Floors School Feb. 25–March 1, 2019, at the Castlewood Corporation headquarters in Tell City, Ind.
The course will cover sled saw construction, parquet building, hand-scraping, custom designs, sand and finish, multiple stain layering, engraving, textured paint designs and more. Students who complete the course will receive a technical certificate of course completion for extreme inlay design, layout and installation. The cost to attend is $1,500.
The association held its inaugural training course Aug. 27–31, during which students received hands-on training in custom wood flooring, including cutting parquet, bending wood and developing wood flooring medallions (see more pictures from the first school here).
“The International Wood Flooring Association is committed [to] furthering the wood flooring industry and hosting skilled trades schools, and the second and improved Extreme Wood Floors School will feature increased components of academic education and a newly developed syllabus,” IWFA stated in a release.
