The U.S. Department of Labor announced increases in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) civil penalty amounts based on cost of living adjustments for 2021.
The maximum penalties for serious and other-than-serious violations increased 1.17%, from $13,494 per violation to $13,653.
The maximum penalty for âwillful or repeated violationsâ increased 1.18%, from $134,937 per violation to $136,532 per violation.
The increases went into effect Jan. 15.
