Pioneer Millworks (Farmington, N.Y.) intends to change perceptions about the typical look of reclaimed wood by creating a product in the 2018 Pantone “Color of the Year:” Ultra Violet. The company’s Pantone Color of the Year initiative adds Ultra Violet as a custom finish option for its sustainable, reclaimed wood products. The aim of the project is to “break reclaimed and sustainable wood out of its stereotypical ‘barn wood’ category,” the company says.
