Small business optimism in July increased 1.4 points on the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Small Business Optimism Index.
Uncertainty among small business owners fell 10 points during the month after a sharp surge of uncertainty in June. Finding qualified workers remains an issue among small business owners, according to NFIB.
“This month’s index is a confirmation that small business owners remain very optimistic about the economy, but are being hamstrung by not finding the workers they need,” NFIB Chief Economist William Dunkelberg stated.
