U.S. Hardwood Floor Imports Rise 25% in January

U.S. imports of hardwood flooring surged 25% in January, as imports from China more than doubled during the month, according to ITTO.

Hardwood flooring imports from Indonesia jumped 32%, and imports from Brazil were up 47%. Compared with January 2020, hardwood flooring imports increased 23%.

U.S. imports of engineered wood flooring grew 23% in January, aided by an increase of more than 50% in imports from Thailand. Engineered wood flooring imports from China, Canada and Vietnam also increased.
