WFB Briefs: INSTALL Offers ICRA Training; Brazil to ‘Reveal’ Countries Importing Illegal Wood From Amazon

INSTALL and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters are offering Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) training in response to the rise in COVID-19 cases in the U.S. The courses focus on multiple points of infection and education on risk mitigation. More information can be found here.

 

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro said during a summit Nov. 17 that he will reveal countries that have been importing illegally harvested wood from the Amazon, MercoPress reports. Bolsonaro said that Brazilian police have developed a way of tracking wood exported from the Amazon using isotopes. Illegal logging has surged under Bolsonaro’s government.
