Steve Osborn at Black Forest Hardwood Floors LLC in Spokane, Wash., had a customer call back with an issue about the appearance of the finish, but it wasn't a problem he had ever seen before. As he tells it: "I had final-coated a floor and thought it looked perfect. A few hours later, the customer texts me, asking why the finish 'looks funny.' He said it had 'weird marks all over it.' I had no idea what he meant since it looked great when I left, so I scheduled a time to look at it in the morning. When I took a look the following day, the floor had two strange checkerboard patterns spaced about a foot apart and running parallel to each other. The pattern crossed the floor, stopped at the wall and changed direction, and it was repeated over and over again. Turns out that after the floor was coated, the Roomba decided it was time to clean the floor. What a mess!"
