I like to pencil the floor between sanding grits to ensure no spot is missed, but I got pretty tired of being on my hands and knees, so I whipped this tool up. I went to Home Depot and bought a concrete brush for $5, took it home and cut the bristles off. Then I drilled some holes for the pencils to drop down in, stuck it on a paint pole and voila! It was all under $10, and I was able to pencil a 5,000-square-foot wood job in a matter of minutes—off of my knees!
