Trick of the Trade: Readying Risky Repairs

When you’re doing a repair on a floor with delicate finish that might already be chipping or peeling, there is always a fear of removing more finish when you have to apply your blue tape to the floor. An easy way to reduce the tack on the blue tape is to apply it to your jeans two to four times before applying it onto the wood floor to mark the repair area. With reduced tack, the tape will be less likely to remove any potentially loose finish.
