George Almeida of George's Hardwood Flooring in Cumberland, R.I., was called to look at this floor. He says: "What you are looking at is a beveled oak floor with alternating widths. Instead of scraping the beveled edges clean or sanding them out, the 'other guys' decided it would be a great idea to just add filler to all the grooves. They did not even bother cleaning out the grooves before applying the wood filler. Now the filler is coming up in all of the traffic areas of the floor due to the normal movement in the floor."
