Does anyone use "Constant Contact" email marketing service as a way to keep in touch with their customers? If so, have you found it's worth the monthly $20 - $50 fees in terms of getting repeat business? If not, does anyone use another type of service that they like? The reason I'm asking is that I've noticed that many homeowners don't remember who installed/refinished their floors after a few years, even the very high end jobs. I'm curious what others are doing; we're a small company with 3 crews.

I have thought about that too. But, I hate getting emails from businesses after I am done with them. It's like getting a text from an ex. I'm like, "move on man, we're done here". So, I decided not to do it.

People's email boxes are overloaded. At 3, 7, and 12 years we send out a hand written postcard that we had Insta-printed with a photo of our guy working on a wood floor on the front of the postcard. It's more expensive, but far more effective than an email. I've had people tell me they saved it for years.

Know your customer base before you start spamming their inboxes with your emails. I know mine is full of junk and I unsubscribe and if that doesn't work they go in Spam.

If someone wants your product they will look for you so just give them a place to find you. If you start sending an email every few days or weeks it's going to turn off a lot of people.
