Hello, I have just sanded and applied Bona Natural Seal for the first time, and I opted for the roller application using the Bona roller (with the guards on the ends). For the most part, coverage looks great and worked very well, however the guards left these narrow lines in the sealer, pretty much everywhere. I haven't applied traffic hd yet, but planning on 3 coats also using roller method.
Is there some way I can repair these marks by spot treating? Or do I need to re-sand and reapply the sealer? Or will these marks not be noticeable once traffic is applied on top?
Your best best is to abrade the floor with a couple of stacked Bona Conditioning Pads with a two 180 or 240 grit Diamond Discs attached; then Tampico or vacuum and wet tack to clean; and apply a second coat of NaturalSeal to fill in those slight voids (might also want to remove the guide wheels - just remember "finger-tip pressure" to evenly apply without the guides). Also, try to keep your roller strokes inline with the grain/direction of the flooring as cross marks will always tend to show more. A quick abrade and a second application of NaturalSeal really tends to even out the overall appearance. See how second coat looks; repeat slight abrasion, vac, tack only if necessary; then apply your Traffic top coats.
Hope this helps!
