Brian Carson has been appointed president and CEO of AHF Products (Lancaster, Pa.), the company formed following the sale of Armstrong Flooring’s wood floor segment late last year.
Mike Bell, who served as the chief transition officer for the company, will take over as the company’s COO.
Carson, who has also been elected to the AHF Products board of directors, comes to the role with more than 28 years of experience in the flooring industry, having spent the past seven as president of Mohawk Flooring North America. Prior to working with Mohawk, Carson held operational leadership roles with Armstrong World Industries for 16 years.
“Brian is a uniquely capable and proven leader who joins AHF with highly relevant experience to accelerate the company’s strategy,” stated Rick Hoffman, partner with American Industrial Partners, the private equity firm that purchased the wood flooring segment from Armstrong.
Carson said it’s an exciting time for AHF Products.
“In its inaugural year as a standalone company, we are pursuing a transformation of AHF Products, including launching a record number of new products and operational streamlining initiatives,” Carson said in a statement. “I look forward to working with the company’s outstanding customers, distributor network, employees, and management team to leverage the strongest brand portfolio in wood flooring.”
