It projects the market will decline 8 percent in 2009 and 1 percent in 2010, with a growth of 10 percent predicted for 2011. It predicts $167.5 billion will be spent on single-family residential construction in 2009, down 10 percent from 2008's $186.2 billion. These figures do not include any benefits the residential construction market might see from the $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009; FMI says the $5 billion slated for residential construction in the bill is mostly for "military housing and HUD construction."On the Web WoodFloorsOnline.com Inc. The symposium is for certified wood flooring inspectors only. The three-day event will include a variety of speaker sessions dedicated to issues facing certified inspectors. Symposium attendees will have an opportunity to network with peers at two networking luncheons.
