People at the Ua Wood Floors booth could see a demonstration of how the company's technology increased the blood flow in their fingers.
In recent months we've heard claims from wood flooring companies that say their wood flooring products will boost inhabitants' immune systems and also that they actually clean the air, and on the show floor at Surfaces last week there was another new claim.
Ua Wood Floors (Douliu City, Taiwan) was attracting attention with its demonstrations that the company's far infrared technology will boost blood circulation and reduce blood pressure. While far infrared technology is not new-it's already in use in some saunas-this is the first we've heard of it being used in wood flooring. Company representatives at the booth said that the technology works even through the soles of shoes, and that because the nano-particles goes down into the wood, the benefits last even after refinishing.
All Things Wood Floor, created by Wood Floor Business magazine, talks to interesting wood flooring pros to share knowledge, stories and tips on everything to do with wood flooring, from installation, sanding and finishing to business management.
