Iii 214 Hf Ww Vm KahrsElizabeth Swift Brown died May 23 at age 95. Brown and her husband founded French-Brown Wood Floors Inc. (Dallas, Texas) in 1952, and the business thrived. Brown worked in business until she retired in 1999.

Brown's accolades in the design and flooring business were numerous: a founding member of the International Furnishings and Design Association, president of the Greater Dallas Floor Covering Association, Western Floors Magazine Hall of Fame inductee and recipient of the National Wood Flooring Association's Industry Leadership award.

Her memorial service was held May 28 at the Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home. Messages to the family can be made online here.
