The four-day course provides a comprehensive overview of installing, sanding and finishing wood flooring. Topics included wood origins, water-and-wood relationships, milling practices, job-site evaluation and preparation, installation methods, sand-and-finish methods and wood floor maintenance.

The course was led by NWFA Vice Principle of Education and Certification Brett Miller. Additional instructors included: Galen Fitzel, 3M; Bill Ptak, DuraSeal; Bob Goldstein, Vermont Natural Coatings; Cort Dunlap, Eukula; Doug McGrew, Clarke American; Kelly McCarthy, Timbermate, Eukula, Bostik; Mark Lamanno, Franklin International; Mark Long, Stauf USA; Matt Thrane, Arboritec, Gehl Flooring; Nathan Shaw, Rust-Oleum; Tim Moore, Eukula, Fortifiber; Tim Nathan, General Finishes; Todd McDonald, Glitsa; and Wayne Lee, Middle Tennessee Lumber.
