NWFA Hands Out 16 Degrees to Members at Expo

Sixteen National Wood Flooring Association members received degrees at the 2016 Wood Flooring Expo for the hours each individual put into training courses and flooring projects.

Seven professionals received the Craftsman Degree for attaining 25 credits for education, achievement and service: Chuck Burkhart, Burkhart Wood Flooring; Jean-Michel Carter, Seasons/Husky Flooring; Jeremy Farmer, Brunswick Custom Hardwood; Patrick McGibbon, Ridgefield Industries; Joel Negron, Metro Atlanta Floors; Tom Ourada, Ourada Designs; and Marcos Proti, CMC Hardwood Floors.

Master Craftsman Degree holders have received an additional 25 credits, 15 of which must be for achievement, and have attended or served an as instructor and an NWFA Advanced or Expert School or received a Wood Floor of the Year Award. The 2016 Master Craftsman Degree recipients are: John Alford, A Step Above Flooring & Installations; and Joshua Crossman, PTL Hardwoods Floors.

An Advanced Master Craftsman Degree, awarded to Master Craftsman recipients who earned an additional 25 credits, went to Jason Elquest, Blackhawk Floors Inc.

Six NWFA members received Ambassador Degrees, which go to members with 50 credits and a Vanguard Degree. The recipients were: Enos Farnsworth, Denver Hardwood Company; Wayne Highlander, Bona US; Claudia Lezell, Inspections Too Inc.; Kjell Nymark, Metropolitan Hardwood Floors; Julie Russell, Glitsa, a division of Rudd Company; and Billy Simmons, Simmons Inspection Service.
