Mercier Wood Flooring (Montmagny, QC) is celebrating its 40th year in business with a promotion for its retailers. One percent of the sales made from the promotion will go toward charitable organizations that help children facing food insecurity.
The promotion includes a $0.75 per square foot discount that is available Sept. 8–Oct. 31 at all participating Mercier retailers. The promotion applies to all Mercier wood floors except Yellow Birch Authentic Grade.
The donation from the sales will go toward Breakfast Club of Canada, an organization that supports breakfast programs across Canada. The company will also donate $7,500 to No Kid Hungry, a campaign working to end childhood hunger in the U.S.
“These last months have been challenging for everyone, especially for children who are faced with food insecurity,” Mercier President Marielle Mercier said in a statement. “With back-to-school almost here, we can work together to give children access to healthy meals that will help them feel less anxious and remain focused on what’s important, namely growing, learning and enjoying life.”
