Diamabrush Sues Former Distributor Over Patent Infringement

Diamabrush LLC announced a patent infringement and unfair competition lawsuit against the Malish Corporation, a former Diamabrush distributor based in Mentor, Ohio.

The lawsuit concerns two patents, including an abrasive cleaning device and abrasive preparation device, patent numbers 7,988,539 and 7,690,970, respectively. Diamabrush alleges the patents are violated by Malish’s Diamond Devil and Mastic Demon products.

"Diamabrush is not a litigious company, and we are disappointed that our former distributor decided to infringe our patents and create confusion in the market,” Diamabrush CEO Mike Sancimino said in a statement.

The lawsuit was filed Oct. 26 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
