A new supplier in the flooring industry has launched, and it’s helmed by longtime wood flooring contractor Jim Fitzgerald.
Grit & Grind Floor Supply, based in Bucks County, Pa., began selling online to local contractors two months ago, according to Fitzgerald. It currently offers Norton Abrasives and Berger-Seidle finishes and adhesives, but it is looking to bring in additional product lines in the future, as well as establish a physical location.
“We’re just trying not to go too big too fast while we figure out all the logistics,” says Fitzgerald, a third-generation woodworker. Fitzgerald’s partner in the business is a retired marine. “We thought we would work well together because we both work extremely hard and really care about the people we serve,” Fitzgerald added.
