Saint-Gobain Acquires Chemical Firm for $815 Million

Saint-Gobain, the worldwide construction materials company and parent company of Norton Abrasives, acquired Ovniver Group, a Mexico-based supplier of construction chemicals, for $815 million.

The Ovniver Group is expected to generate $285 million in revenue a year and has had a growth rate of around 20% over the past five years. It has 16 factories and around 1,000 employees concentrated in Mexico.

Saint-Gobain employs 160,000 people across 76 countries and brought in $53.2 billion in sales in 2023.
