Taylor Adhesives Parent Company Acquired By Avery Dennison Corporation

Global adhesives manufacturer Meridian Adhesives Group (Dalton, Ga.), which includes adhesives brands Taylor Adhesives, Polycom and Frontier Products, was acquired by Avery Dennison Corporation (Mentor, Ohio).

Avery Dennison Corporation is a manufacturer and distributor of adhesive materials, apparel branding labels and tags, RFID inlays and specialty medical products.

Avery Dennison purchased the Meridian Adhesives Group for $390 million and expects the transaction to close in the fourth quarter.

Meridian Adhesives Group projects its 2025 revenue to be approximately $110 million, operates four manufacturing facilities in the U.S., and employs about 110 people.

“This acquisition is an excellent fit with Materials Group,” Avery Dennison Materials Group President Ryan Yost said in a statement. “It adds a valuable set of application-oriented solutions in high-value categories to our adhesives portfolio. We see strong cost and technology synergies that will build on our materials science capabilities, acrylic adhesive expertise and open new application opportunities for us in the flooring industry.”

“I am incredibly proud of what our teams at Taylor Adhesives, Polycom and Frontier Products have built,” Meridian President of Flooring Ralph Grogan said in a statement. “With Avery Dennison’s backing and reach, these brands are well-positioned to continue growing and delivering even greater value to our customers.”
