David Paal is retiring after 38 years in the flooring industry, most recently as a wood flooring inspector, and he's selling his extensive wood and wood science reference library, as well as his inspection equipment.
Paal says the value of the reference library is about $8,000, but he will sell it to someone in the industry for $1,500. The extensive list can be viewed here (note there are three tabs). He says buyers must pay cash and meet him somewhere close to his location in Cleveland, Ga.
He is also selling inspection equipment in pristine condition for 50–70% off its value. That includes:
