Trestlewood is a family-owned business with over 30 years of experience with reclaimed and other character wood. We purchased the salvage rights to a 12-mile-long railroad trestle crossing the Great Salt Lake in 1993 and have been fully invested in quality character wood ever since. We love using what we have learned about character wood to help our clients build their legacies. We find that we are the most successful in doing so when we “keep it real.”

Wood is the ultimate natural building material, the perfect blend of utility, beauty, sustainability, and warmth. We are amused when other building products are described as looking "almost like real wood." Our experience is that it always comes back to wood. And why wouldn't it? We love reclaimed wood and its no-two-boards-alike character. We also recognize that sometimes our clients prefer more consistent color tones, textures, and other characteristics - and more aggressive price points. To give you options, we have worked hard to discover natural processes to give new wood desired reclaimed-wood-like characteristics. The result is a suite of "aged" product lines - NatureAged, HarborAged, ThermalAged - that provide beautiful, replicable, and scalable character wood products without relying on stains or other artificial approaches. Our focus is on embracing and celebrating character, not trying to eliminate it.
