The National Wood Flooring Association hosted its introductory wood flooring class, Principles of Wood Flooring, at its headquarters near St. Louis from March 17–20.The four-day course provides a comprehensive overview of installing, sanding and finishing wood flooring. Topics included wood origins, water-and-wood relationships, milling practices, job-site evaluation and preparation, installation methods, sand-and-finish methods and wood floor maintenance.The course was led by NWFA Vice Principle of Education and Certification Brett Miller. UFloor Picks Lanham to Distribute in Three States

UFloor Systems Inc. (Aurora, Colo.) has a new distribution partner. The company said in a statement that Lanham Hardwood Flooring Co. will distribute its products in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.

NWFA/MFMA Wood Flooring Basics Class Features Open House

The National Wood Flooring Association and Maple Flooring Manufacturers Association presented their Wood Flooring Basics class at the NWFA headquarters in St. Louis Sept. 10-13. Students learned the fundamentals of preparing, installing, sanding and finishing solid and engineered floors. After class on Sept. 11, NWFA presented an open house for manufacturer representatives to talk with students and area distributors, retailers and contractors about their products.
