AHF Products (Mountville, Pa.) announced its acquisition of certain assets of American OEM (Burns, Tenn.), an engineered wood flooring manufacturer with brands including Raintree, Hearthwood and Emily Morrow Home, as well as private label products.
American OEM was founded in 2013 by industry stalwart Don Finkell, who previously served as president and CEO of Anderson Hardwood Floors before it was purchased in 2007 by Shaw Industries, where Finkell then worked until 2013. American OEM manufactures its engineered hardwood products at its plant in Only, Tenn., offering a range of styles and species such as red oak, white oak, hickory, maple and walnut.
Finkell will continue managing American OEM following the AHF acquisition.
“American OEM and Don Finkell have made a name for themselves in the industry with style and innovation, and we look forward to integrating these capabilities and these brands into AHF and our strong stable of brands and customers,” stated Brian Carson, CEO and President, AHF Products. “The American OEM capabilities provide us with new products and capabilities produced right here in America, offering reduced lead times at a time when this is more important than ever to our customers. In addition, we look forward to expanding the relationships with the American OEM customers. We’re thrilled to have Don and the OEM team joining the AHF family and look forward to growing the Raintree, Hearthwood and Emily Morrow Home brands.”
Finkell stated the company is excited to be a part of AHF Products and contribute to its growth.
“We approach business in a similar fashion as AHF Products; product development is a collaborative effort between American OEM and its customers, in much the same way AHF Products approaches the market,” Finkell added.
The acquisition adds to AHF’s lengthy portfolio of flooring brands, which also includes Bruce, Hartco, LM Flooring, HomerWood, Capella, Robbins, Tmbr and Parterre.
