American Sanders Announces 2022 Sand & Finish Training Schedule

American Sanders (Sparta, N.C.) announced new courses and dates for its 2022 Sand & Finish Training Program.

The program will include new courses for advanced-level contractors, as well as courses for those still in the early development of their career, the company said. The schools are led by wood floor master Daniel Boone.

The schools will be held on the following dates:

Feb. 15, 2022: The Original American Sanders Edger School in Charlotte, N.C.: A one-day school at the American Sanders training facility. The class will cover all aspects of edging techniques and different edging scenarios, as well as how to properly set up and maintain an edger for the best performance. March 15–17: American Sanders Advanced Contractor Sand & Finish School in Charlotte, N.C. A three-day advanced curriculum focusing on flooring techniques. Applications to attend can be found here.

June 7–9: IWFA Expert Sand & Finish School in Charlotte, N.C. The course focuses on master-level sanding techniques and ultra-high-end finishing, as well as designing custom wood floors with colors, color effects, color layering, working with metallics, stenciling designs, creating visual effects of borders and patterns both with and without inlays. Sept. 13–16: American Sanders Advanced Contractor Sand & Finish School in Charlotte, N.C. A new four-day advanced curriculum focusing on flooring techniques that now includes one day of installation. The course was created to meet student requests. Applications to attend can be found here.

Oct. 11–12: American Sanders Sand & Finish School in Clarksville, Tenn. A two-day school covering all aspects of sanding, finishing, and exceeding customer expectations. This school is hosted by Middle Tennessee Lumber. Registration can be found here.

Oct. 25: The Original American Sanders Edger School, Charlotte, N.C. A one-day school at the American Sanders training facility. This class will cover all aspects of edging techniques and different edging scenarios, as well as how to properly set up and maintain an edger for the best performance.
