Floor & Decor reported a net income of $82.9 million in the second quarter of 2021, a 159.1% surge compared with the $32.0 million earned in the second quarter of 2020.
The company’s net sales increased 86.0% to $860.1 million, and earnings per share increased 156.7% to $0.77.
“We believe that our strong execution and growing brand awareness coupled with the favorable economic environment drove record sales and profitability in our year-to-date fiscal 2021 results,” CEO Tom Taylor said in a statement.
Year-to-date, the company has opened 14 additional warehouse stores and plans to open six more in the third quarter of 2021.
