Martin comes to the NWFA from his position as vice president of the National Association of Electrical Distributors, where he helped develop the association's strategic direction and budget and served as publisher of The Electrical Distributor (TED) Magazine.
Korczak noted that Martin "has a very strong association background that will help make my transition to retirement less of an interruption to the daily operations of the NWFA. In addition, he also brings a wealth of other experience to the NWFA, including roles as a speaker, meeting planner, and convention manager."
NWFA Chairman Neil Poland said, "Michael convinced us that he is a very progressive thinker with a high energy level who can lead the NWFA to further growth in the future." Poland added that the search committee, formed of NWFA Board of Directors members and other members from all segments of the industry, voted unanimously to hire him.
Korczak announced his upcoming retirement during the NWFA convention in Washington, D.C., last March. He has served the NWFA in his current capacity since 1994.
