Building With Award-Winning Wood Floor Receives LEED Gold

SC Johnson's Wood Floor of the Year award in 2010 and appeared on the cover of the June/July 2010 issue of Hardwood Floors-recently earned a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Certification in New Construction from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Included in the building's construction were FSC-certified wood flooring, bamboo flooring and low-VOC stains and varnishes. The hall earned multiple credits in the Materials and Resources, Indoor Environmental Quality, and Innovation and Design categories, among others.
