The U.S. Green Building Council has announced its speaker lineup for upcoming Greenbuild 2011, which will be held Oct. 4-7 in Toronto.
The U.S. Green Building Council has announced its speaker lineup for upcoming Greenbuild 2011, which will be held Oct. 4-7 in Toronto.
Author Thomas Friedman, with such titles as "Hot, Flat and Crowded" and "The World is Flat" to his credit, will deliver the opening keynote. He coined the term "Geo-Greenism," which he describes as a national strategy to make America healthier, richer, more innovative, more productive and more secure. Friedman has won three Pulitzer Prizes and is a reporter and columnist for The New York Times.
Closing the event will be New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg when he delivers the conference plenary, during which he'll discuss what cities around the world can do to effect change.
Also, medical anthropologist and physician Paul Farmer and ABC News political commentator Cokie Roberts will speak at Greenbuild.
