HF Briefs: Dyeing Dark Floors; Wood Pro Re-Locates; More

HF's own Inspector Blogger Howard Brickman will hold a one-day seminar on "Dyeing Dark Floors" at Bona US' (Aurora, Colo.) facility in Bridgewater, Mass. Topics will include mixing and applying aniline dyes with a focus on deciding which finishes can be applied over each dye. Lunch will be served, and the class will be limited to 15 people. Wood Pro Inc. recently relocated its Albany, N.Y., branch across the street from its former location to 4 Fritz Blvd., Suite 3, Alabany, NY 12205. The branch phone number is (866) 766-1200. The company said it will host an open house at the new location in the spring to show off its new store, showroom and warehouse.

Superfici America Inc. (Concord, N.C.) has named Scott Grissom North American product manager for its DMC Wide Belt Sanders for wood floor manufacturing. Grissom will be responsible for all demonstrations and quotations of all DMC-related products and will work from Concord. Grissom brings with him over 20 years of experience in the sanding industry, starting as a service engineer before moving to sales.

Mike Foster, owner of Crow Hill Hardwoods (Marcellus, N.Y.) won a trip for two to the Bahamas for participating in Mullican Flooring's (Johnson City, Tenn.) "Get Lost in Atlantis" sales incentive campaign. Foster said he sold about 3,500 square feet of Mullican products during the 60-day campaign period.
