Horizon Forest Products (Raleigh, N.C.) recently donated over 500 square feet of PanTim engineered flooring to the family of a young boy suffering from cancer. Three-year-old Princeton Bryan has high-risk stage IV neuroblastoma and has received chemotherapy, blood transfusions, surgery, radiation and a bone marrow transplant, which has severely compromised his immune system. The family needed to replace its carpeting to remove any trace of dust, direct, bacteria, pesticides or other toxins, which could be life-threatening to Princeton. Princeton's parents documented their story on a blog, and Horizon's marketing coordinator, Holly Williams, happened to read it.

The family needed to replace its carpeting to remove any trace of dust, direct, bacteria, pesticides or other toxins, which could be life-threatening to Princeton. Princeton's parents documented their story on a blog, and Horizon's marketing coordinator, Holly Williams, happened to read it.
"After reading about Princeton and everything that this family had been through, I thought that their flooring problem should be the least of their worries," Williams said. Horizon Forest Products arranged delivery of the flooring, and a family friend of the Bryan's installed it.
"Although Princeton's immune system will always be vulnerable to the environment around him, we can at least rest a little easier knowing that our home has been made about as safe as possible for him," said Princeton's mom, Jayme Bryan. "The gift from Holly and Horizon Forest Products means more then they will ever know."
