Uzin-Utz AG, the parent company of UFloor Systems Inc. (Aurora, Colo.), has announced it will build a new production facility in Ilsfeld, Germany, where Wolff and Harmann Frank Ltd. production will be combined. The company says it will invest approximately $6.75 million in the new plant, and construction will begin early this summer. It will comprise approximately 62,000 square feet, with an additional 31,000 square feet for future expansion. The company says that the new facility will improve production processes for both machine brands and also house full production of the Wolff brand of professional floor installation tools; it expects that 65 new jobs will be created.

In other UFloor news, the company has named Nathan Carter territory manager for the Pallman brand; he will call on customers in the Pacific Northwest, California, Utah and Nevada. Carter was most recently vice president of sales and product development at Allwood Import LLC.
