Surfaces Doubles Donations from Post-Show Recycling Efforts

In its second year of partnering with Mountain Re-Source Center and Tile Partners for Humanity, the Surfaces/StonExpo trade show managed to double the donations collected in 2012. All exhibitors were solicited for donations prior to and during the 2013 show, and 82 participated in the recycling effort. Among them were:

• Beaulieu (9,000 square feet of carpet and padding)
• Mannington Mills (9,000 square feet of flooring)
• Home Legend (5,400 square feet of flooring)
• Nature Flooring (3,500 square feet of flooring)
• U.S. Floors (2,500 square feet of flooring)
• Max Windsor (2,500 square feet of flooring)
• IVC US Inc. (2,500 square feet of flooring)
• Johnson Hardwood (2,250 square feet of flooring)

Seven semi trailers were loaded and delivered material to outreach centers in California and West Virginia, as well as the Las Vegas Habitat for Humanity. Mountain Resource Executive Director Herb Miller said he was "blown away" by the exhibitors' generosity.
