The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) recently approved the 2012 ICC 700 National Green Building Standard, making it available for purchase through the National Association of Home Builder's BuilderBooks.com.
The standard, available in ebook and soft cover, outlines green practices for use in new homes, multifamily buildings, remodels, additions, hotels, dormitories and residential land developments.
Compared to the 2008 edition, the new book integrates the more stringent rating levels of the 2009 International Energy Efficiency Code, options for rating remodeled functional areas and point assignments for water efficiency practices.
